Support at Monroe - Title I information
The following information is a jointly developed agreement that explains how family members and teachers will work together to make sure all of our students get the support they need to reach and exceed grade level standards. The families and staff at Monroe Elementary Mathematics, Science and Children's Engineering annually discuss, review, and revise this information. Your student’s needs, progress, and achievements will be shared at fall and winter conferences. For more information about this agreement, contact your student’s teacher.
2025-26 school year information

Title I School Improvement Strategies
Monroe Elementary School is a Title I Schoolwide building that receives funding to support our students’ academic needs. We have selected these goals to help all students:
- Use student reading and math data to inform instruction, to form intervention groups, and to increase student achievement
- Consistently implement student engagement strategies to create a positive school culture
- Continued use of social-emotional curriculum/Character Strong
- Progress on these school efforts will be reported to families at the PTO meetings in October, February and May.

School Supports for Success
(In the Classroom)
The school community will partner with families in
providing resources on how to support students’ success
in reading and math at home
- Teachers and support staff will develop goals to support student learning in reading and math”
- Staff will use a collaborative approach towards meeting the needs of all students with a focus on essential learning and data
- Students will have access to daily reading and math interventions

Family Supports for Success
(At Home)
- Read 20 minutes everyday with your child or have them read independently
- Talk to your child about their learning in reading, math, and science
- Attend family nights with your child

Family Resources
(Communication)
- Our school will send out a monthly newsletter. It can be translated into other languages.

- Your student’s results from grade level assessments
- Your student’s report card
